Oh boy, what a good read! If someone told me this was Donna and Bree, the duo behind Moira Rogers, I wouldn't have picked up Beyond Shame as I don't like their writing as Moira Rogers.However, I'm really glad I've read this book based on excellent reviews from The Book Pushers and Smexy Books - both prominent blogs with tons of great recommendations behind their back.
Beyond Shame is scorching hot, full of interesting characters and describes a gritty dystopian world which I'm dying to read more about. I can vaguely sum it up as a mix of Rhiannon's Law series by J.A. Saare and Sons of Anarchy.
It's got a bit of everything thrown in, dangerous streets, gangs, weird gated dystopian society with Victorian morals, politics and shreds of interesting technological advance making their way to the black market beyond the gates.
Noelle is a daughter of rich parents - high ranking upstanding citizens, and she is taught all her life how to become a proper society wife and hold her tongue while men do all the talking. Like all the youngsters, she is extremely bored and chafing at the restrictions. So she is caught by Eden's police while trying to have sex with another just as inept young gentleman. Her parents say that she is not their daughter anymore, and she is thrown out of the gates.
Luckily enough she is picked up by the O'Kane gang before she gets into trouble and taken under their protection. That's when basically all the fun begins *grinning* while Noelle slowly comes to terms with her new life and discovers new strengths and weaknesses while beginning her wild love affair with one of the gang members, big and scruffy Jas.
Get ready for mild BDSM, hot pole dancing, strong women, cage fighting, pervy tattoo artists and intriguing storyline. Very much recommended.

Я также рада, что не знала когда садилась за эту книгу, что писал её тот же дуэт, что стоит за псевдонимом Мойра Роджерс, так как мне книги Мойры не пришлись по вкусу, однако Кит Роча безумно понравилась!За Гранью Стыда - это антиутопичный, тёмный эротический роман в стиле серии Закон Рианнон от Дж. Эй. Саар и телевизионного шоу Сыны Анархии.
Хороший сюжет, история не спотыкается и льётся плавно. Приятные главные персонажи и очень интригующие второстепенные герои. Политика, странное закрытое антиутопичное общество Идэн с чопорными викторианскими манерами, а за его пределами криминальный беспредел на улицах, которыми правят различные банды, смесь остатков технологии и интересных продвижений науки, продающихся на чёрном рынке...
Ноэль - дочка чопорных напыщенных родителей из Идэна поймана при попытке заняться сексом на нелегальной вечеринке и арестована. Родители от неё отказываются и её вышвыривают за ограду Идэна. Прежде чем Ноэль успевает влезть в неприятности, её подбирает под своё крыло банда О'Кейнов.
Пока девушка переживает кризис личности и находит силу характера, о которой она раньше и не подозревала, она вырастает в сильную женщину под защитой женщины главаря и закручивает роман с Джасом, одним из лучших бойцов банды.
Ждите хороших любовных сцен, политику, перестрелок, грязных схваток, множество татуировок, стриптиз, заигрываний с бдсм и прочих аттрибутов Дикого Запада будущего... Очень даже советую.

I am with you, I do not enjoy the writing of Moira Rogers...but after reading your review I am interested in this book. Amazing how the same writers can write in a slightly different category and the story comes out so much better.
